ESSENTIAL FOR USING WITH JEWELRY WIRE

HOW TO CRIMP

Crimping is a basic technique that you'll need to know to secure beaded jewelry wire strands. You use a crimping tool to first pinch and then fold the crimp tube in place on the ends of your strands.

THE CRIMP TOOL

The crimping pliers have two notches or stations. The first station has a dimple in the middle and is used to squeeze/pinch the crimp into a U shape. The second station is used to fold the crimp and form it into a tube shape.

TIP: USE A JUMP RING

You can crimp your jewelry wire directly to clasps, but we like to use jump rings for extra movement. It also allows you to switch out the clasp or add more jump rings if you need extra length.
