Hi ,
Thank you for your continued support and for sharing your wellness journeys with us. This month, I wanted to answer a couple of your questions about morning routines. Many of us know the importance of getting into a good morning routine to set up the day ahead. Most of us know that knowing and doing are two different things. Its the doing thats often the challenge, especially with the busy lives we lead.
Today, I thought Id share some hacks Ive found work well when stacked together. Practicing these in the same order every day is helping me to form a useful habit thats making a positive change to my wellness, and how I feel. Maybe these ideas can help you make a positive impact in your busy life, too.
1. Get natural light first thing upon waking to set my circadian rhythm
Waking up and going for a short walk in the morning helps me feel more alert. The natural light (sunlight, depending on the season) sends a signal to my body thats its time to be awake, and it helps regulate my circadian rhythm, which also helps with improved mood and increased energy levels. Its a fantastic way to start the day around nature.
2. Take a Sauna Blanket session to boost focus
After I return from my short walk, I like to fire up my InfraRed Sauna Blanket and slide into it. I either listen to a podcast or think about my goals for the day. While the near infrared heat quickly gets me into a hot sweat, I find my focus and creativity levels expand and I feel prepared for the day ahead.
3. Take a cold shower to boost metabolism
Next, its into the shower where the hot tap is abandoned for 3-4 minutes. A cold shower leaves me feeling alert and invigorated. Its a refreshing way to begin the day.
4. 20 minutes yoga on the PEMF Mat for core stability
After drying off, I like to spend the next 20 minutes practicing yoga on my PEMF Mat. Now, Im still a beginner, however, Im finding that my stretching and my balancing is improving with each session. Ive also noticed reduced stiffness using the mat and I feel a lot more balanced within myself.
5. Meditation in my sleep mask to channel my mind ready for work
The last thing I do before I set off to the office is spend a good 15-20 minutes meditating in a quiet room. Its important to block out the daylight to meditate well, so I wear my Blackout Sleep Mask, paying particular attention to my breathing. I prefer to sit while meditating, as it helps me to keep focused on the day ahead, rather than move me into a deeply relaxed state.
Im still working on improving this stacking routine, so I can share a further update with you in future if youre interested.
Until then, stay happy, healthy and safe.
