March is Women's History Month

Why is women's history month important to us today?

Women's History Month empowers young girls around the nation with courage, self-esteem and willpower to walk in our ancestor's footsteps. Our history will also inspire current and future generations to emulate the women who laid the framework for us to succeed, be treated equally and be recognized in society. It's also a time to recognize the amazing contributions of women throughout history.

So this time, we would like to recognize our own CEO, who started Bounce Curl. Merian started Bounce Curl 7 years ago, with one product and we now have over 15 products. From the company's inception, Merian wanted to educate and build a community and remove the stigma that curly hair can be "messy" or "unprofessional". Her goal has always been to influence people to love their natural self all across the world. She has also mentored multiple women to follow their dreams and launch their own successful companies.

So, here's to strong women; may we know them, may we be them and may we raise them.
