PACERS REPORTEDLY HAVE FILED 78 COMPLAINTS TO LEAGUE OFFICE REGARDING OFFICIATING
It's safe to say that the Indiana Pacers aren't thrilled with the way that the opening two games of their second-round playoff series have been officiated. According to an ESPN report, the Pacers have filed 78 total complaints from the first two games against the New York Knicks. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle was ejected late in Game 2 for arguing with the officials.
Carlisle: "The whole world knows that [Tyrese] Haliburton's got a bad back. And Hart comes up and shoves him in the back. It's all over Twitter right now because a few people have showed it to me. JB DeRosa is looking right at it, you can see, he's got vision of the play and he shoves Tyrese into the corner, and there's no whistle. Right in the back. That was shocking, and there were many others. I can promise you that we're gonna submit these tonight. New York can get ready, they'll see them too."
The Hot Ticket
Cavaliers at Celtics, 7 p.m. | TV: ESPN
The Pick: Celtics -13.5 (-110)
Key trend: The Celtics are 5-1 ATS in the 2024 playoffs.
SportsLine expert Bruce Marshall is 8-3 in his last 11 ATS picks involving the Celtics.
"The Cavaliers looked completely outgunned in the series opener on Tuesday. In fact, Cleveland has looked outgunned on the road this entire postseason, losing and failing to cover all four of their road playoff games at Orlando and Boston. They also haven't scored more than 96 points in the process. It won't help if rim protector Jarrett Allen is out again with a rib injury. In addition, the surging Celtics have allowed 100 or fewer points in all but one of their six playoff games to date.
