DRAYMOND GREEN REACTS TO HIS EJECTION
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green certainly has a lengthy history when it comes to getting ejected from games during his NBA career. During the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Suns, Green swung his arm and hit Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face
. As a result of his actions, Green was awarded a Flagrant 2 foul, which results in an automatic ejection. It marked the 19th time that Green had been ejected during his NBA career.
Here's how Green reacted to Tuesday's ejection:
"[Nurkic] was pulling my hip, and I was swinging away to sell the call and made contact with him," Green said. "As you know, I'm not one to apologize for things I meant to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf. I didn't intend to hit him ... A replay is never gonna look good, but I know my intentions, and my intentions were to sell the call. I also don't think I'm an accurate enough puncher to do a full 360 and connect with someone. It's unfortunate."
The Hot Ticket
Rockets at Grizzlies, 8 p.m. | TV: NBA League Pass
The Pick: Rockets -7.5 (-110)
Key trend: The Rockets are 10-2 ATS over their last 12 games.
SportsLine expert Bruce Marshall is 9-2 in his last 11 NBA against the spread picks.
"It has taken a while but the oddsmakers are finally moving the Houston numbers at home, where the Rockets have now won and covered ten straight after topping the Spurs on Monday. Included in that Toyota Center win streak was a 111-191 thumping of the Griz when Jalen Green scored a season-high 34 back on November 22. Meanwhile, recent wins over the Jazz and Mavs didn't trigger any Memphis revival, as the Griz has lost three of four since with Ja Morant's pending return (which we're not sure will be a good thing, with accompanying distractions) now less than a week away."
