DERRICK HENRY AGREES TO TERMS WITH RAVENS
The Tennessee Titans officially moved on from Derrick Henry by signing Tony Pollard to a three-year, $24 million deal on Monday. Just hours later, Henry has a found a new home as he agreed to terms on a two-year, $16 million deal to join the Baltimore Ravens, according to CBS Sports HQ senior NFL Insider Josina Anderson. The deal includes $9 million fully guaranteed in 2024, and will keep Henry as one of the highest-paid running backs in the league.
Here's more from CBS Sports NFL writer Cody Benjamin on what Henry brings to the table:
Benjamin: "While Henry is aging and boasts a heavy career workload, with more than 2,000 carries already under his belt, the two-time All-Pro has remained one of the NFL's steadiest ball-carriers in recent years, topping 1,000 rushing yards in five of his last six years. The supersized former Offensive Player of the Year has never averaged fewer than 4.2 yards per carry, and he also led the NFL in yards after contact in 2023, per Pro Football Focus."
The Hot Ticket
ACC Tournament | No. 11 Boston College vs. No. 14 Miami (Fla.), 7 p.m. | TV: ACC Network
The Pick: Boston College +3 (-115)
Key trend: Miami is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games.
SportsLine expert Chip Patterson is 5-2 in his last seven ATS picks involving Miami.
Patterson: "Miami has lost nine games in a row, and there have been all kinds of losses in that stretch from close heartbreaks to blowout defeats. There was a pair of losses to outright ACC champion North Carolina by a combined six points yet also a 22-point loss to Virginia and a 29-point whomping by Duke. There are also two losses in the current 9-game losing streak to Boston College. It's hard to beat a team three times in a season much less three times in a month, but I think the Eagles have a matchup advantage with 7-foot big man Quinten Post that Miami just does not have an answer for."
