Today's top story
TITANS FIRE HEAD COACH MIKE VRABEL
"Black Monday" saw the Commanders and Falcons fire their head coaches, but the Titans joined that club on Tuesday. The Titans decided to fire head coach Mike Vrabel after six seasons with the team. Vrabel helped lead the Titans to an upset victory against the Jaguars in Week 18 and took the franchise to the postseason on three occasions. Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk stated that the Titans needed a "fresh approach," which led to the team parting ways with Vrabel.
Here's more from CBS Sports NFL writer Cody Benjamin on what Vrabel accomplished during his time in Tennessee:
"Vrabel, who was hired in 2018 after a four-year run as an assistant with the Texans, went 54-45 over six seasons atop the Titans' staff, most notably logging back-to-back 11-win seasons from 2020-2021. Vrabel also oversaw a surprise run to the AFC title game in 2019, where Tennessee fell to the eventual Super Bowl champion Chiefs. He went just 13-21 the last two years, rotating between Tannehill and rookie Will Levis at quarterback throughout 2023."
The Hot Ticket
Kings at Pistons, 7 p.m. | TV: League Pass
The Pick: Kings -11 (-110)
Key trend: The Kings are 4-2 ATS in their last six road games.
SportsLine expert Zack Cimini is 3-1 in his last four NBA ATS picks.
"Sacramento has not looked like themselves in their prior four-game home stand. They've suffered two outright losses, including their latest being a blowout to the Pelicans. Getting on the road should help them against a Pistons team that has given up an average of 134 points over their last four games."
Here's what else SportsLine is saying about the game:The Projection Model has a "B" pick on the spread and total, while having a "C" pick on the moneyline.Get one week of picks from SportsLine completely free with the promo codeNEWSLETTER*
