Good afternoon, sports fans.
The top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder got a much-needed win in Game 4 on Monday in their second-round series against the Dallas Mavericks. Falling behind 3-1 certainly may have been the nail in the coffin for the Thunder. Meanwhile, we've got both the Indiana Pacers/New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves/Denver Nuggets series knotted at two games apiece. Tuesday's Game 5s in those series will be monumental towards deciding a winner. Consider this a sneak preview for the type of expert analysis and insight you will receive as a SportsLine subscriber.

CHIEFS WILL HOST BENGALS IN WEEK 2 SHOWDOWN
The 2024 NFL season is still a few months away, but the season schedule is becoming more clear. Ahead of Wednesday's entire NFL schedule release, it was announced on Tuesday's "CBS Mornings" show that the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 of the upcoming season. The game will be scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, Sept. 15, and it will be a rematch of the 2023 AFC Championship Game. CBS Sports NFL writer Jordan Dajani has more regarding the most recent matchup between the two teams.
Dajani:"The last meeting between Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes took place in the 2023 AFC Championship game, where Kansas City defeated Cincinnati, 23-20, thanks to a 45-yard game-winning field goal from Harrison Butker. Mahomes threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, while Burrow threw for 270 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the game's leading receiver, as the current free agent caught six passes for 116 yards and one touchdown."
The Hot Ticket
Game 5: Pacers at Knicks, 8 p.m. | TV: TNT
The Pick: Over 217 (-110)
Key trend: The over is 5-1 in the Knicks six home games during the 2024 playoffs.
SportsLine expert Jason La Canfora is 5-2 in his last seven over/under picks involving the Pacers.
La Canfora:
"The Knicks have not been able to slow down the Pacers, who are averaging 118.0 points in this series. The opening two games were totally bonkers with 251 and 238 points total points respectively. The Pacers are the healthier team and deeper team at this point, but I have a few concerns. They don't win when playing on the road, and the Knicks have failed to keep pace enough to get the games in Indiana over the total number. However, the home crowd has brought out best in them with Jalen Brunson having a flair for the dramatic. Both teams 11-4 when it comes to the over in their last 15 games. I'm projecting a return to that high-scoring form with series back at Madison Square Garden."
