squishy scarf, wrap, and cowl! These quick projects are great for gift giving!Levanter was designed by Emma Butram, and it was inspired by the Horatio Hornblower series. Emma said, "In the books, there are many

mentions of the various winds and weather patterns that he often encountered. One of the winds was named the 'Levanter,' and it brought cloudy, foggy, rainy weather in winter to the area around the Straits of Gibraltar, between the tip of Spain and North Africa. I imagine that a soft, snuggly cowl or scarf would have been very appreciated in weather like that!"This Intermediate level pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects. Levanter was made with our Limited Edition Enamored Chunky yarn. This yarn is a sumptuous, 6-ply blend of 70% Baby Alpaca and 30% Fine Merino Wool. It is deliciously warm with a velvety smooth softness. 150 m/164 yds per 100 g/3.5 oz skein.The samples are shown in colors: Cowl: Illusion (A); Scarf: Spell (B); and Wrap: Howl (C).
