Tim~Hello, my treasured friend! What amazing things do you have planned for this beautiful day? We're all busy as a bunch of buzzing bees down here at the shop... prepping new colors, shipping out orders, photographing yarn and patterns, finding new things to share that I know you're going to love! I love it all so, SO much and can't imagine doing anything else with my time! So today I want to share a lil' story, which is also tied to today's new yarn collection. A couple of days ago, Tim and I were up at 5:00 am, and we tossed on our walking clothes, brushed our teeth, and stumbled out the door in the dark to take our 30-minute walk around the neighborhood. As we made our way down our street, Tim yelled, "Look! An owl on

the roof of that house!" I do wonder now if he woke some of the neighbors! LOL!Since some of our neighbors have mounted fake owls on their fences, Tim and I stopped and stared and wondered if it was actually real. And then suddenly, he blinked and turned his head to gaze at us! It was so incredibly cool! Only 20 feet away from us and so majestic! We eased away trying not to disturb him, and the next morning we saw him flying near that same house! Apparently, owls are a symbol of good luck and fortune, which I needed that day, since it was also the day my new, little grandniece had her open-heart surgery. We were on pins and needles all day as we waited for news. But all went well, and shes doing wonderfully now! Thank goodness, and thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers! So today, I have a brand new, beautiful owl inspired yarn collection, and we're not only dyeing these colors onto our squishably soft, luxurious Alpaca Silk DK, but also our sumptuous Crema Worsted, too! I hope these colors and their inspiration bring good luck and fortune to you, too!

TAWNY OWL A warm and toasty, speckled colorway with shades of caramel and coffee, copper penny and cedar, with hints of buff, sage, gold, brownish burgundy, and more!URAL OWL A soothing, speckled, wintry mix of snowy white and pale, sky blue with a touch of denim and midnight blue, orchid, pewter, and more!NORTHERN SAW WHET OWL An earthy, verdant medley of emerald, juniper, and sage green and slate grey, chocolate burgundy, firefly yellow, and more!Have you ever worked with our Alpaca Silk DK yarn? It's one of my favorite yarn bases of all the HEAVENLY yarns we offer! It's squishy and cuddly, cushy and huggably soft! Snuggly and warm, long-wearing and draping, Alpaca Silk DK is a dreamy yarn that is ultra-soft with a shimmering glow from the silk. A gorgeous, 4-ply blend of 50% Baby Alpaca and 50% Mulberry Silk, it's ideal for next-to-skin projects. This DK-weight yarn is super versatile and works wonderfully for both garments and accessories! 230 yds/ 210 m per skein.

We're also hand-dyeing these lovely colors on our scrumptious Crema Worsted yarn. Crema Worsted is a dreamy 70% Superwash Merino Wool and

30% Silk blend with excellent structure, a soft hand, and a subtle glow. It takes the dye incredibly well, which results in fabulous, hand-dyed shades that are perfect for shawls, blankets, and garments. It's a luscious, shimmering, 8-ply (4 strands of 2 plies each) worsted-weight yarn that is bouncy and long-lasting! 192 yds/175 m per skein.You'll notice some small differences between the same two colors when dyed on these yarn bases, which I think is just so awesomely cool! The colors on Crema Worsted are a little more saturated with higher contrast, while Alpaca Silk DK produces softer, smoother colors. Regardless, all of these colors are just so scrumdiddlyumptiously gorgeous! You're gonna love 'em!
