Designed by Megan Gonzalez, Kaveri is inspired by the Kaveri River, which flows across southern India. As a major source of drinking water, irrigation, and electricity, this vital waterway spreads life throughout the land. The fast flowing currents turn from river to waterfall and back again,

stretching nearly from coast to coast. The Kaveri cowl uses a single six-stitch cable to form a series of cataracts along the channels of ribbing. With the cable worked on only six rounds throughout the cowl, this single, simple stitch makes a big impact over time just like the river for which it was named.

This pattern is an Adventurous Beginner level pattern and is for knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Skills include cables, chart reading (optional), and circular knitting.
