My Wife needs a Wife

That was the title to an ad my Father placed in the Help Wanted section of the International Herald Tribune published in Paris back in the late 1970s. My Mothers floral design business was starting to flourish and she needed help in the business and in life.

My parents also owned a crumbling bastide in the Dordogne in France, so a French speaking Wife of the Wife would be a definite bonus. From this little ad a lovely group of young French women came into our lives. After living and working with us at home, several of them went on to be amazing, well respected and successful floral designers like Isabel Bosquet-Morra.
