This is "Grandmama Sheppard" She insisted we call her "Grandmama" because she felt it was more sophisticated. She was pretty cranky with most people, but I understood her. While she was in hospice, I told her I was pregnant with my son, Fox. Her exact words, "That's the best news I've heard in a long time, that will definitely keep me going for another few weeks." She died 2 weeks later. That was 10 years ago. I loved her and miss her dearly. Sometimes I forget that she has passed, and I think to myself, "I need to call grandmama..."
