Hello, Im Mama with a Mocktail. I started my journey of not drinking alcohol about 3 years ago. I havent had the best relationship with alcohol through my 25 plus years of drinking alcohol. Now, Im so happy to have a non-alcoholic community where we support each other and can define not drinking alcohol the way we want. For me, it took a long time torethinking how I drink and not reach for a glass of wine because I was having a bad day. I make better choice now and decide if I really need alcohol today. Im wanting to get others to rethink how they drink. Its been great to still enjoy a cocktail, minus the alcohol!

Not sure where to start? Heres somethings that have helped me:

1. Remove all the alcohol - get rid of the temptation. Sweep the cabinets, throw away the bottles, give the wine to friends, or box it up (out of sight and out of mind)
2. Make the drinking experience fancy and create a special experience - buy some pretty glasses, get some mixers like juice, sparkling water and sodas, and add in garnishes like mint, lemon or limes. Make yourself a non-alcoholic drink, just like you would one with alcohol.
3. Surround yourself with others who support your non-alcoholic lifestyle. Put on hold going out for drinks after work, instead do something for you - start a new hobby, take up a sport or sign up for a cooking class.
4. Believe in yourself - youve got this! I believe in you!
