2024 Paris Olympic medal
As a change of pace from our typical emails, we wanted to share something cool happening in France. As you may know, the Olympics will be held in Paris this summer from July 26 to August 11. The Paralympics will follow from August 30 to September 8. Game organizers revealed photos last week of the medals that will be given at both games. They feature authentic bits of the Eiffel Tower embedded into the gold, silver, and bronze medals!
The medals were designed by the jewelry house Chaumet and include fragments of the Eiffel Tower left over from renovations. The fragments are hexagon shaped to reflect the shape of France, nicknamed L'Hexagone.
