Truth About Vegan Leather

Vegan leather is usually created using

\polyvinyl chloride (PVC), but it is non-degradable and has much higher toxicity levels than other plastics. It is the most environmentally-damaging plastic as it takes thousands of years to break down, so LaBante is committed to excluding it from our production.

Our Materials

There are NO animal based glues or dyes used in our products. All of our Bags are made with recycled materials and are 100% vegan. The Interiors of our bags are made from reclaimed plastic bottles, whilst the outer is made with vegetable by-products and Polyurethane, unlike some manufacturers who use PVC*, this makes our bags fully biodegradable. *PVC is non-biodegradable.

Cruelty free microfiber is combined with recycled plant-based leathers to produce our vegan bags.

We are constantly improving production and seeking new ways to reuse materials. Currently, we are transitioning to using more environmentally-friendly leathers, including our apple leather shoes collection made from discarded apple cores.
