It was October 1st, 2017 and over 22,000 people wereon the Las Vegas strip for the Route 91 Harvest music festival. Very quickly the concert turned tragic with bullets reigning down on the crowdfrom what initially appeared to be every direction. In the end, it wasa lone shooter who killed over 60 people and wounded over 410 people before he was stopped and killed himself.

At this moment in time, I had just been through an active shooter situation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at a Fortune 100 company. The shooter got away and was never caught.

I had an idea. What if we took the soft armor that is in police vests and put it in t-shirts that any adult could wear to protect themself. We quickly developed a prototype and started our company in January 2018 with the intention to sell life-saving products that the average person could wear under their clothes. A month later the Parkland High School shooting occurred. I had just sold my house in Parkland and was an active member of the community. Needless to say, I was stunned. We paused our company for 6 months and tried to determine the best path forward. It was at this point I decided to recommit myself to saving lives.
