FIRST OFF, A VERY HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO YOU ALL!

Not only is today Mothers Day, but today also marks one year since our small mom-owned brand was featured on network television - on NBCs Today Show! We were featured by Bon Appetit Magazine featuring AAPI brands in honor of #aapiheritagemonth! What an honor it was to be featured next to some amazing brands we love and admire! The best and most meaningful part of being included in the segment and all the wonderful experiences I get to have with this company is getting to experience them with my (now) two year old daughter, Yara. Being a mother and an entrepreneur are two of the most difficult and rewarding experiences of my life. I am so blessed to have amazing mother figures in my life that not only support, but also inspire much of One Stripe Chai. I would have never thought to share chai with the world if I didnt see moms around me and my own mom make it daily! As a daughter of immigrants, I owe it to the mothers in my life for moving to a completely unknown country, working incredibly hard, learning so much, to afford me the privilege of starting my own business. My mom herself was an entrepreneur and I watched her run a restaurant fearlessly while I spent my summer vacations helping her out. Little did I know, I would be running my own business someday! I am so excited to live in a time where Yara gets to see so many women and mom founders that are running businesses that are rooted in their culture and identities!
