Like many of you, at Peter Tyson our staff members love vinyl records. To celebrate Record Store Day we asked some of them what is their favourite record in their collection and why?

My favourite record

Satin Jackets - Panorama Pacifico

Fantastic Balearic pop music (if there ever was such a thing). Reminds me of many summers in Ibiza & you can't help but smile when you listen to these tracks.

Why I love records

Nothing sounds as good as a well pressed record.

Suzi Carrigan - Web Admin

My favourite record

Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the Night

I listened to the album constantly as a teenager, I was obsessed, it has real sentimental value and a fascinating cover. Christine McVies vocals on Everywhere give me goosebumps every time.

Why I love records

I like vinyl because nothing beats the authentic sound of the needle on the record before the song playsmakes me feel all nostalgic.

Four Tet - Three

Fresh off the press (literally) and just released, Four Tets latest album really suits vinyl. A beautifully textured and layered album. Some tracks provide a spacey, ambient feel while others feature his trademark sequenced samples that keep you engaged.

Why I love records

Vinyl is awesome the whole ritual of purchasing, growing a collection, playing and caring for vinyl, does justice to what great music deserves.

Death From Above 1979 - Youre A Woman Im A Machine

An album that blew me away as a teenager on its release in 2004, just bass, drums and vocal creating ungodly noise. Getting this 10th anniversary pressing was a holy grail moment.

Why I love records

Its the ultimate expression of artistry in music - the large artwork, the care you have to take with them, and a sound thats unmatched.
