TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
DJOKOVIC ENDS YEAR AT #1 FOR THE EIGHTH TIME
Novak Djokovic solidified his year-end No. 1 ranking at the ATP Finals with a hard-fought victory over Holger Rune, marking his eighth record-breaking achievement in securing this position.
But the milestones don't stop there...
Following his triumph, Djokovic is now guaranteed to claim an astounding 400th week at the top spot of the ATP rankings, a remarkable 90 weeks ahead of the closest contender, Federer, who held the position for 310 weeks throughout his career.
At 36 years old, Djokovic also secures another accolade as the oldest year-end No. 1 in ATP rankings history, surpassing his own previous records of 34 weeks in 2021 and 33 weeks in 2020.

WTA APOLOGIES TO PLAYERS FOR CANCUN CONDITIONS
The grievances expressed at the WTA finals in Cancun have escalated the widespread dissatisfaction with the WTA's management of the tour.
According to The Athletic, 21 top-tier players penned a letter outlining their concerns. The players seek increased compensation, a more adaptable schedule to alleviate the strains on their physical and mental well-being, broader childcare support, and representation from the independent Professional Tennis Players Association on the WTA council.
The WTAs letter said it would consider several proposals to reduce the mandatory commitment of top players to participate in certain tournaments at its next board meeting. It also told the players that a wide range of other issues that you identified in your letter would be reviewed.
Let's hope so.

INTERESTING TENNIS FACTS
WHY "LOVE"?
Unlike most other sports, tennis has a scoring system that is counted in a peculiar way. Instead of using traditional numerical scoring, tennis utilizes a system of love, 15, 30, and 40. The term love for zero is believed to have originated from the French word for egg, loeuf, which resembles the number zero.
Impress your tennis friends with that knowledge next time you're on the court.
