Mobilizing for Monuments
We hit the road with The Conservation Alliance and other partners to visit five current and proposed National Monuments and advocate for the protection of millions of acres of more public lands.
Watch Now
Mobilizing for Monuments is a coalition of businesses and nonprofits advocating for the protection of more public lands through the designation or expansion of National Monuments.
Chuckwalla National Monument in California
This monument would protect nearly 700,000 acres of public lands and recreational destinations near Joshua Tree National Park. This would safeguard World War II historical sites, vital habitats, desert bighorn sheep and tortoises.
Take Action
Dolores River National Monument in Colorado
This monument would protect land surrounding the Dolores River, including critical watershed habitats, recreational opportunities and cultural sites sacred to local Indigenous communities.
Sattitla or Medicine Lake Highlands in California
This monument would protect over 200,000 acres of forested land near Mt. Shasta, including freshwater resources for millions of Californians. Plus, it would protect sacred landscapes that are used by numerous Native Americans like the Pit River, Modoc, Shasta, Karuk and Wintu tribes.
