Albarino

Albarino might just well be the perfect white wine to pair with seafood. If you are in the mood for some fish and fancy a glass of high quality Albarino then this should be on your shopping list. Expect loads of stone and tropical fruit with a solid acidic backbone. 14.50 a bottle

Barbera
Barbera D'Alba
A complex red wine from a well respected Piedmont vineyard with over 100 years of winemaking experience. On the nose you will note wild rose, fresh berries & crushed minerals. Once in your mouth you will be awash with blueberry, liquorice and earth synonymous with Piedmont. Banging wine rack worthy value at 14.50 each.
Mt Etna White
Mount Etna Sicily
Wines from Sicily are harder to come by and usually fairly pricey. We have managed to get our hands on a Carricante and Catarratto blend from the side of Mount Etna which expresses notes of apple, white peach, pear and star anise. A worthy purchase at 16.95 a bottle.
Arneis
Arneis Roero DOCG
I have often thought that Arneis could be one of the most under valued white wines from Italy. For the price, they drink more like 20 bottles of wine. Expect green apple, lemon and white blossom flower on the nose with fresh citrus, a harmonious acidity and a lingering fruit-forward finish. A screaming buy at 11.95 each. They won't last long!
Verdejo
Verdejo Rueda
A certified organic white wine from the second best vineyard in the world. There is a lot to like about this Verdejo from Marques De Riscal for 14.95 each. Expect lemon, lime, pineapple, melon, ripe peaches and a massive smile when you realise how good it is for the price!
Mt Etna Red
The soil of Mt. Etna is volcanic and very rich in minerals which give their red wines a rustic smoky, earthy note. This wine from Sentieri Siciliani has note of redcurrant, earth and spices. In your mouth this transforms into fresh red fruits, liquorice and ends with a balsamic finish. It will be the perfect pairing for a tomato based pasta dish. 16.50 a bottle
