Inspired once again by the extraordinary botanical art within the RHS Lindley Collections, our new collectionpresents designs and illustrations by two 19th century women artists in the field of horticulture, Gertrude Jekyll and Caroline Maria Applebee.

We celebrate their creativity and passion for bringing the world of plants and gardening to life.

This year we have taken much of our inspiration from one extraordinary source: the Designs for Carving scrapbook, by the renowned artist, gardener and craftswoman, Gertrude Jekyll. This intriguing work contains sketches of gardening subjects and architectural features spanning 45 years of her life. Seven fabric designs have been created in 10 versatile colourways. Individually distinctive, they also work wonderfully together as a collection from which to mix and match prints.

The final design is a richly illustrated botanical collage design featuring flower paintings by early 19th century English artist Caroline Maria Applebee, in a colour palette of warm pinks, reds, purples and soft leafy greens.

The fabrics can be used across our range of British handmade bespoke sofas, chairs, beds, footstools, or purchased separately as fabrics for curtains and blinds or other soft furnishing projects.

Printed in Lancashire on natural, viscose and linen mix cloth, the collection is exclusively available through our showrooms across England and Scotland and online.
