A Note from Co-Founder Brittany Stone

I just wanted to take a moment to send a quick note about our newest addition to the Bask family, the SPF 40 Daily Invisible Gel Sunscreen.

I was yearning for a daily-use, fragrance free facial sunscreen that wouldnt break me out, and that I could incorporate seamlessly into my morning routine.

I personally led the product development. And to the frustration of many involved in the process, it took us three and a half years from start to finish. We started working on it before we even launched our initial product set in May 2021. But I wanted it to be perfect. Here are some highlights on the process:

• We completely scrapped our base formula 8 different times. Number 9 had the characteristics of something that could be great.
• We took that to testing groups of 10 people at a time, and gathered feedback (20+ times), iterating the formulation every step along the way until we landed on the final product.
• The major breakthrough was at B9-I14 (Base 9, Iteration 14) when we made the decision to add squalane.

We experimented with two different types of squalaneone synthetic and one natural olive-derived, which is in the product today. The results were incredible; the texture transformed into a velvety smooth application that felt lightweight and effortless. Moreover, 100% of our testers reported increased hydration and improved skin condition within just a few weeks!

I'm not just proud of this productI'm thankful for it! I began using Daily Invisible Gel lab samples daily last March, and my skin has never looked bettervibrant, healthy, moisturized, elastic, and protected. It has also simplified my routine, as I no longer use a separate morning moisturizer or makeup primer.
