Hi , were adding something fun and new to our email programming this year. Welcome to Volume I of The Beach Read by Bask. This is a monthly digest of some of our favorite things from around the world and the world wide web. Things that weve been liking, seeing, wearing, wantingand things that have been inspiring us. Without further ado, The Beach Read:

Did you know we went viral? With a little help from Fritz the baby hippo and a voice over from Bask co-founder Brittany, this reel has over 20 million views and a million likes.

Weve always tried to make sunscreen a little more fashion forward. Please take a look at Anya Taylor-Joy in Bask by Dior on the Golden Globes red carpet. Past Bask-inistas include Kris Jenner (Met Ball) and Michelle Zauner (Grammys).

Here's a few things I've been into lately:

Having watched (and honestly who hasnt?) White Lotus, I am now obsessed with Sicily. Because of this. And this. And this. And this. Apparently Im not the only one. The hotel featured (San Domenico Palace) now has a two year waiting list.
Take me back to the 90s! But make it 2023 with these Platform Uggs.
Momming and entrepreneur-ing at the same time isdifficult. So I am currently very grateful for #parentingtiktok. Its full of great tips, and other moms sharing their experiences. And if youre not a TikToker, may I suggest Big Little Feelings on IG?
A high/low aesthetic. Give me a satin dress with sneakers. Give me a pair of heels with an oversized sweatshirt and jeans. Heres some looks Im loving right now: Inspo 1. Inspo 2...look familiar? Inspo 3. Inspo 4.

Here's a few things I've been into lately:

Since we just moved to Florida, one of the necessities isTombolo. The cut, vibe, and prints on these shirts are really fun, and you will never make it out without someone asking where you got it. If youre into that kind of thing
My second South Florida necessity isLido Beach Chairs. Are they expensive? Yes, but they are worth it. Equipped with a cooler, backpack straps, and a pocket for wet towels, the perfect beach chair finally exists.
In keeping with the Miami theme, I loved reading The Year of Dangerous Days: Riots, Refugees, and Cocaine in Miami 1980 by Nicholas Griffin. Its a narrative nonfiction about the perfect storm of events and circumstances that led to the complete transformation of Miami into the city it is now. Policy, media, crime, drugs, corruption. Its fascinating and feels like a tropical version of The Wire.
One thing about the move to Miami from NYC thats been a bit abrupt is the coffee situation. Not that there isnt great coffee here (there is! Go to Panther), but its not on every single city block like in New York. So, Ive taken to brewing my own. I purchased a Kalita Server and dripper, this beautiful kettle from Fellow, and like 10 bags of my favorite coffee, the Admiral's Blend from Downeast Coffee Roasters in Rhode Island.
AI is wild right now. If you havent tried chatGPT or Dall-E, then prepare to be amazed. Here is an image it created from the prompt an astronaut lounging at a tropical resort pixel art.
