If you haven't taken advantage of this week's $100 off sale on the Home Defense Rifle training, you can do so now by clicking >HERE<
The reason is that there are a few layers to using a firearm (of any kind) in a home defense / home invasion situation.
You've got the basics of vocabulary and concepts.
And you've got gear.
Then you've got basic shooting fundamentals.
A great comparison is to think of watching videos online and reading as "Driver's Education" and getting out and actually training with your gun being like when you got in a car for the first time and learned how to drive.
Unfortunately, you've got to go one more step to perform well with a firearm when lives are on the line.
Solving a problem with a gun in your home in a 360 degree environment with loved ones and neighbors is incredibly different than poking holes in the right piece of paper.
You need the RIGHT tactics for the application so that you minimize the chances of needing to shoot, minimize liability for yourself and risk to innocent bystanders, and reduce the number of shots you need to take to stop the threat.
These tactics are VERY different for a civilian defender than they are for military, LE, and competition.
The tactics are VERY different when you're the defender, on your home turf, than the aggressor.
They're VERY different in a neighborhood than a war zone.
They're VERY different when it's 2AM and you're hopping out of bed barefoot, in boxers than when you're wide awake and have your gear on.
The tactics that you actually need for defending yourself in your home are tactics that you won't find on YouTube videos because they don't fit the mold of "sexy and cool."
But they do happen to minimize your chances of being targeted, keep you, your loved ones, and your neighbors safer during an attack, and reduce your legal and civil liability afterwards.
It's the kind of training that should come with every carbine purchased with the possibility of self-defense use.
