Penned by Canadian-Iranian playwright Aki Yaghoubi and directed by Panthea Vatandoost (Medusa Theatre Societys artistic director), its the first major production in Vancouver that has Persian women in every core role, writes V.S. Wells for the Georgia Straight.
It is just a really powerful play and role, says Foojan Nixie Shabrang who plays the title role in an interview with Pancouver. I dont think Ive ever come across anything so hefty to sink my teeth into.
