distinct Chinese traditions make it the ultimate east-meets-west
destination. And perfectly located to break up the journey for those
heading to or fromChina, Japan or Southeast Asia, adding a Hong Kong stopover to your Wendy
Wu tour lets you see even more of the world in one unforgettable trip.
We offer two fabulous Hong Kong stopovers, a threeday introductory option
and a slightly more in-depth four day option. Below is an example of how
you could spend 72 hours in Hong Kong!
72 Sensational Hours in Hong Kong
Day 1: Arrive in Hong Kong
Transfer from the airport to your hotel amongst the iconic skyline of Hong Kong
Island or the bustle of Kowloon. In Kowloon, while away the afternoon
in the shops of Nathan Road, exploring the ground-breaking K11 Musea or
admiring the huge collection a Hong Kong Museum of Art. Cross into West
Kowloon to discover the vibrant new cultural quarter with its plentiful shops,
cafes and restaurants. Consider heading up to the Sky100 Observation Deck
to catch mesmerising 360-degree views of the city, particularly spectacular as
the sun sets.

Day 2: Hong Kong Island
For those staying in Kowloon, take the Star Ferry across to Central, on Hong
Kong Island. Soar up to the heights of Victoria Peak, the highest point on
the island, via the suprisingly nifty 135-year-old Peak Tram. The top
offers spectacular views of Hong Kong's iconic skyline. Then, spend
time in the charming Aberdeen fishing village, wandering around the picturesque
harbour and seafood markets. You can even take a cruise here on a
traditional sampan for a more detailed look at the area's history. Pop to
the close by neighbourhood of Stanley to browse the wares of Stanley Market,
famous for its huge variety of clothes, jewellery and souvenirs.
Day 3: Lantau Island
Head to Tung Chung on Lantau Island and hop onboard the Ngong Ping 360 cable
car which will sail you over the glorious landscapes to reach the magnificent
Tian Tan Buddha. Climb the steps to admire the Buddha up close or find the
start of the Wisdom Path which follows 38 wooden steles. With an appetite
worked up for lunch, return to Po Lin Monastery, an important Buddhist sanctum
and home to one of Hong Kong's best vegetarian restaurants. Later, travel
on to the historic Tai O fishing village. A glimse of a Hong Kong of times
long past, see how the Tanka people, a traditional fishing community, live in
houses built on stilts.
Day 4: Depart Hong Kong
Depending on the time of your departing flight, you can continue your
exporations - there's always more to do in Hong Kong!
