MEET KEVIN BEST, THE FOUNDER OF FISHPOND'S NOMAD NETS

Over the past 15 years, few products have changed the fly fishing industry like Nomad Nets. Founded by Kevin Best in 2010 and then acquired by Fishpond in 2013, Nomad has fundamentally changed what anglers expect in a net. Now many other companies have followed suit with their own version. And while imitation might be the highest form of flattery, theres no denying that Nomad is the original.

CONSERVATION SPOTLIGHT

The folks at Bonefish & Tarpon Trust recently posted an update on Everglades restoration and the work that remains. According to BTT, recent progress is remarkable, and there's a lot of reason for hope. However, work remains to be done. Due to unseasonably high levels of rainfall prompted the US Army Corps of Engineers to begin discharging a staggering volume of water in mid-February, with no end in sight.
