CONSERVATION SPOTLIGHT

According to a recent update from Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, BTT scientists have made progress during the 2023-24 bonefish spawning season in documenting a new pre-spawning aggregation site near Key West. This builds on previous work, where BTT documented a similar site in 2023. The discovery was the first of its kind in Florida waters and a hopeful sign of a continued recovery for the species after a decades-long decline. Click here to learn more about this new research.
