Ariana, Alida, and Magbule
It all began with my beloved grandmother, Magbule, whose unwavering love and culinary mastery inspired my aunt, Alida, and I to embark on a journey that would honor her memory and the timeless traditions she instilled in our family. Magbule poured her heart and soul into every dish, infusing them with not just flavor but with the warmth of her embrace and the wisdom of her years.
For us, Balkan Bites is far more than a business venture; it's a tribute to the remarkable women who came before us and the unbreakable bond of motherhood.
As a mother of a toddler and on the brink of welcoming a second child into the world, I count myself fortunate to have the continued guidance of my mother and grandmothers, who support me both in person and in spirit every step of the way. It brings me immense joy to see my daughter Stella surrounded by not just two grandmothers but also by a network of loving aunties, ensuring she experiences the same care that molded me into the person I am today.
