Good afternoon, sports fans.
Sadly, we have an off day for both the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final. However, don't fret because we've got plenty of action on the MLB landscape. One of the more anticipated matchups on Tuesday's slate features the Braves taking on the Orioles. Earlier this season, this would've likely been viewed as a potential World Series preview, but Atlanta finds itself without Ronald Acuna Jr. after he tore his ACL last month. Still, this is an extremely talented Braves team that will be looking to close the gap with the NL East-leading Phillies, while the Orioles will be looking to catch the Yankees in the AL East. Consider this a sneak preview for the type of expert analysis and insight you will receive as a SportsLine subscriber.

PHILLIES CATCHER J.T. REALMUTO PLACED ON INJURED LIST
The Phillies lineup has taken a huge hit with one of their top stars slated to be out for the foreseeable future. On Tuesday, the Philadelphiaplaced catcher J.T. Realmuto on the 10-day injured list
with right knee pain. As a result, Realmuto will undergo right knee meniscectomy surgery on Wednesday. The team hasn't revealed any timeline in regards to Realmuto, but the general recovery period is estimated at 6-8 weeks. In coordination with the move, the Phillies recalled catcher Rafael Marchn from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. CBS Sports MLB writer Dayn Perry wrote about the type of production that the Phillies have received from Realmuto this season.
Perry: "Realmuto in this, his age-33 season, has batted .261/.309/.411 (105 OPS+) with seven home runs in 51 games. Overall, that's plus production by the standards of the position, and no doubt his recent struggles at the plate have been partly owing to the increasing pain in his knee. Realmuto also remains a quality defensive catcher behind the plate."
The Hot Ticket
Guardians at Reds, 7:10 p.m. | TV: MLB.TV
The Pick: Guardians (-125)
Key trend: The Guardians are 6-3 in their last nine road games.
SportsLine expert Zack Cimini is 37-24 in his last 61 MLB moneyline picks.
Cimini:"On Tuesday, the Cleveland Guardians will look to add onto a strong road record of 21-14 as they travel to Cincinnati for a matchup against the Reds. The interleague series will feature an opener for the Reds with reliever Brent Suter drawing the start. Expect the Reds to have problems as the Guardians have won four straight games with Triston McKenzie on the mound, while averaging 7.5 runs in those last four games that McKenzie has started."
