Happy Monday, gamblers.
Yeah, the Mavericks got a monster win in Game 4, but the name of the game tonight is Game 5 and the Celtics still find themselves just one win away from an NBA title. With a mark of 8-2, Boston has thrived when playing at home this postseason, however, don't discount Dallas' 7-4 road record, and Games 2 and 3 were close down the stretch. Our Tim Doyle points out that the winner of the 3-point line has won every game this series, so look for that to be one of the key factors that will determine whether the NBA season ends tonight. Consider this a sneak preview for the type of expert analysis and insight you will receive as a SportsLine subscriber.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER, XANDER SCHAUFFELE HIGHLIGHT 2024 U.S. OLYMPIC GOLF TEAM
The 2024 Summer Olympics are right around the corner, and the U.S. Open marked the end of the qualifying period for those looking to represent the United States in Paris next month. On Monday, it was revealed that Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele will lead the United States men's team
at the Paris Games. Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark also made the American squad, and will compete in the golf competition that is slated to take place Aug. 1-4 at Le Golf National. CBS Sports golf writer Patrick McDonald explained why 2024 U.S. Open Bryson DeChambeau didn't qualify to make the United States team, despite having a terrific year.
McDonald:"Playing on a circuit [LIV Golf] that does not award OWGR points, DeChambeau did not qualify despite a tremendous string of performances at the year's three major championships, including a T6 at the Masters, 2nd-place finish at the PGA Championship and his victory at Pinehurst No. 2. Rising all the way to No. 10 in the OWGR, DeChambeau's name still sits behind five other Americans."
The Hot Ticket
NBA Finals -- Game 5: Mavericks at Celtics, 8:30 p.m. | TV: ABC
The Pick: Mavericks +6.5 (-108)
Key trend: The Mavericks are 3-1-1 in their last five playoff road games ATS.
SportsLine expert Bruce Marshall is 12-7-1 in his last 20 ATS picks involving the Celtics.
Marshall:
"Do we give the Celtics a mulligan for that Game 4 no-show effort? Probably so. Do the Mavericks have a chance to erase the 0-3 series deficit they carried into last Friday night? Probably not. However, the dynamics did change in this matchup across the past five quarters. After all, the Mavericks did outscore the Celtics by 52 points since falling behind 91-70 in Game 3. The offense has finally started to function with Luka Doncic now attacking the paint, and the Mavs bench also finally making contributions. Boston missed the rim protection that Kristaps Porzingis could have provided in Dallas, and Boston is only scoring at a 100.0 points-per-game clip in this series. This one stays close!"
