New properties for the new year

New year, new holiday destination? We've been busy adding lots of beautiful new properties just in time for your 2024 holidays. Here are seven new places to stay, including traditionally Cornish cottages and contemporary coastal homes.

TRAMANDA

Centuries old, Tramanda was built after the Battle of Waterloo to accommodate soldiers returning from war. Now retired from public duty, the cottage has been beautifully restored, retaining loads of character including feature fireplaces, exposed granite and beamed ceilings. Youll love its proximity to Bodmin Moor, cosy wood burner and enclosed garden for summer stays.

HAZELDENE

SLEEPS 6 | 2 DOGS | CRACKINGTON HAVEN

Set in an elevated position close to Crackington Haven beach with breathtaking panoramic views, Hazeldene is a spacious detached bungalow. Its gardens steal the show; extending to half an acre, they are beautifully landscaped with secluded hidden seating spots, BBQ and fire pit. Indoors is equally lovely though, with an impressive kitchen, log burner and two balconies for marvelling at the views.

TREBARFOOTE

SLEEPS 6 | 1 DOG | POLRUAN

If its views youre looking for, youre onto a winner with Trebarfoote. This contemporary coastal home is set in an elevated position in a quiet pocket of Polruan, looking out across Fowey, Readymoney Cove and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. In summer, grab a bottle from the wine fridge and settle on the glass fronted balcony to soak up the Cornish sun. Or in winter, gather around the wood burner and watch the wintery weather roll across the estuary while cosy and warm.

TRUFFLE COTTAGE

Set in the heart of Wadebridge, Truffle Cottage is packed with character and charm, with its blend of original features and stylish modern furnishings. Spend busy days cycling the Camel Trail, visiting the nearby beaches of Rock, Daymer and Polzeath, or enjoying the indie shops and cafes that are just a few minutes walk from your door. When you return home, theres both a sunny garden and a warming log burner in an old Cornish stone fireplace.

PEGGY'S OLD POST OFFICE

SLEEPS 4 | 1 DOG | NR PADSTOW

This gorgeous cottage in Penrose couldnt be better placed for exploring North Cornwall, set just five miles from Padstow and a stones throw from the glorious Seven Bays. The perfect mix of old meets new, Peggys is filled with little luxuries, including underfloor heating, a roll top bath, wood burning stove, range cooker and Sky Q. Outdoors theres also a lovely undercover seating area with festoon lights and further lawned garden.

SILVERSHELL

Silvershell is a detached bungalow set at the top of Port Isaac with gorgeous views across the rooftops down to the harbour. The centre of this popular fishing village is only a few minutes walk, where youll find a harbour beach and plenty of pubs, pasty shops, galleries and gift shops. Great all year round, Silvershell has a roaring open fire, a large enclosed lawned garden and a south-facing decked balcony complete with sea views and BBQ - a Cornish essential.

CROTCHET COTTAGE

With its whitewashed walls and pale blue sash windows, Crotchet really is the epitome of a classic coastal Cornish cottage. Think window seats, open fires, ceiling beams and some head ducking. Set at the end of a pretty row of thatched and slate roofed cottages in the heart of Cornwalls Roseland, youll find quiet sandy beaches, coastal trails and bustling harbour towns at your fingertips.
