Ingredients

3 x apples finely sliced

1 x lemon - juice

50g sugar (optional)

50g All purpose flour

3 tsp cinnamon powder

2 sheets of pre--rolled shortcrust pastry

Method:

1 Begin with two pre-rolled shortcrust pastry sheets. Using your silicone plate as a stencil, cut one sheet into a circle, creating the top layer of your homemade apple pie.

2 Using the excess pastry, create shapes with a cookie cutter that can be placed as a decoration on top.

3 Give the silicone plate a greasing using either butter, margarine, or cooking oil.

4 Combine your apple slices, lemon juice, optional sugar, cinnamon, and flour in a separate bowl.

5 Lay the second sheet of shortcrust pastry over the plate and push to cover the interior. Trim away excess pastry.

6 Pour the apple mixture on top of the pastry and spread evenly.

7 Seal the deal by gently placing the circular pastry atop the filling, Press the edges together for a professional finish.

8 Add your previously cut-out pastry shapes to the top of the pastry and cut four breathable holes in the middle with a knife. Brush a little water over the pastry to firm the seal.

9 Bake to perfection on 180 degrees and you should have a golden brown homemade apple pie wishing 25 minutes.
