A Note From Us with Heartfelt Greetings!
There are moments in life when something, whether it be an object, music, art, or a book, completely draws one inward. In these moments, we find ourselves saturated with awe, wonder, and utter fascination, as outside noise and distraction fade away, leaving us fully enraptured by a work of passion and brilliance. This experience is especially profound in a world filled with constant demands for attention from emails, texts, and social media.Personally, I often experience this when I examine Erwin Sattler timekeeping pieces, such as the precision pendulum clocks and the Rotalis watch winder series. Similarly, listening to Glenn Gould playing Beethoven Concerto No. 5 in E Flat Major, viewing Klimt's painting 'Judith', or engaging with thought-provoking art pieces by Anselm Kiefer evokes a similar sense of mesmerization.
In the same vein, driving the Rivian RS1, a masterpiece of technical craftsmanship, fills me with a sense of respect as a consumer. It's a refreshing departure from shallow entertainment, showcasing a depth that demands appreciation. This sentiment extends to products like Opus Perpetual, Classica Secunda 1985M, and Graziosa, to mention a few, shamelessly categorically omitting the impressive watch winders and the long standing clocks from Erwin Sattler, where precision, accuracy and quality are paramount.
These timekeeping pieces exemplify the commitment to excellence synonymous with 'made in Germany'. Each piece is meticulously crafted with the end customer in mind, down to the smallest detail. From hand-painted moon faces to precisely filed clock hands, the dedication to quality shines through.
A master clockmaker individually hand paints the moon phase for Classica Lunaris.
Comparison of different moon phases in size for various models: all each and individually hand painted.
Filing of the hand by a master clockmaker, prepping it for the blueing process.
'Before and After.' The hands undergo the meticulous process of blueing and doming.
