A Conversation on Appropriation and Appreciation in Fashion

Join us for a fascinating conversation on appropriation and appreciation in fashion. The panel features Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style catalogue contributors, Susan B. Kaiser, professor emerita at UC Davis and editor of Critical Studies in Fashion & Beauty, Ann Tartsinis, visiting faculty member at the California College of the Arts and Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University; and Lewis Watts, professor emeritus at the University of California in Santa Cruz. The panel will also feature Abram Jackson, director of interpretation at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and moderator Laura L. Camerlengo, exhibition curator of Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style.
How to Attend
Tickets for the discussion are distributed on a first-come first-served basis in front of the Koret Auditorium an hour before the program begins. This does not include admission to the museum.
