About the Designer.
Art Grootfontein a.k.a Stphane Mattern is an artistic director, illustrator and type designer. He obtained his postgraduate design degree from the National School of arts & Design in Paris, France.
He draws his inspiration from many different design sources such as jazz album art, cereal boxes, scientific book covers, old movie posters or 60's movie titles with a unique mix of European and American visual culture.
Grima

Letters have slight descenders and shorter ascenders for a unified height but varying width. Equal spacing and detailed shapes make text lines intricate pieces, sometimes magical, other times grim. Born in collaboration with Todor Georgiev, Grima is an exploration of elaborate forms, with legibility coming third behind
challenge and innovation.
Grima isnt just a font, it's an intricate dance of form and space, consisting of five fonts with fixed weight but varying in width, accommodating everything from narrow confines to ultra-wide expanses.

Todor Georgiev, often called Tozzi by friends, is passionate about exploring the art of the written letter in all its forms and shapes.
