About the Designers.
Alfonso Garcia:
Alfonso Garca has a horrible handwriting so when he found typography, it was a love at first sight "Now someone will be able to read my letters." Since then he moved from San Juan to Buenos Aires, Mxico and Chile, in the quest for learning how type design is done and working as a graphic designer. He works now at Latinotype since 2015, as type designer, being responsible for several projects. Often he still uses his handwriting in poems or notes that no one, but his partner Julieta, is able to understand.
Daniel Hernndez:
Graphic Designer. Design Graduate of Universidad Mayor in 2006, and with a Diploma Course in Typography from Pontificia Universidad Catlica de Chile in 2007. He has exposed and presented his work in different typographic Biennials and exhibitions. His a Co-founder of Latinotype Foundry.
Luciano Vergara:
Luciano Vergara is a Duoc UC Graphic Designer, Graduate in Design from Mayor University, and Diploma in Typography from Catholic University of Chile in 2003. He has taught classes and workshops in educational institutions in Chile and Latin America and has sold his fonts through T26 Digital Type Foundry since 2005.
Luciano is a founding partner of Latinotype and has been selling his fonts through this foundry from 2008 to present day.
His work was presented at the Latin American Typography Biennials of 2004 and 2006, and he participated as a member of the jury at the Bienal Tipos Latinos 2008. His work has appeared in some publications such as "Carcter Latino", "Year Book of Type 1, 2 and 3 , among others.
