Hi ,
In my twenties, I was a sun-worshipping raw foodist who believed that anything "unnatural" was detrimental and that Nature was always perfect and loving.
My pilgrimage in the early days of the raw food movement in the late 90s started with a visit to the only nudist beach in San Diego, where other raw-eating sun-worshippers took me on my very first day in sunny California! We ate watermelon and welcomed the vitamin D producing rays without any sunscreen, comforted by the fact that our diet rich in antioxidants
probably prevented us from getting sunburned. In this fairy tale of a worldview, the raw diet would not only prevent sunburns but also slow down the aging process! If cooked food was toxic, certainly putting a toxic sludge called sunscreen on your skin was even worse. Would you put on your skin what you wouldnt put in
your mouth?Fast forward a decade later; I was south of the Equator in Tahiti where the sun rays are less merciful, contemplating the worst but certainly not the first sunburn of my life: my ravaged and bloody nose took weeks to heal!I pondered the results of this "natural" philosophy and at the same time looked at what too
much time in the sun did to many raw foodists: they looked older than their age. Some people blamed it on their diet. The truth is that it was the sun which made some of them wrinkly like a prune. My resolution at that moment was to take care of my skin from now on!I considered the fact that I had probably been wrong to believe the notion that spending a lot of time in the sun was perfectly healthy. It can be, in the right amount and with some safety measures. But theres no denying that too much sun exposure causes
rapid skin aging, skin damage such as wrinkles and liver spots, cancer and eye problems.Sunshine is essential for our health, but the dark side is that its also the main culprit in skin damage. Some people recommend to avoid sunscreen, avoid the sun at its strongest or just use physical protection such as a hat. But
that advice is unrealistic because we enjoy being outside when the sun is shining and that being fully clothed in the sun isnt always practical or enjoyable. No matter what the natural pundits say: wearing sunscreen is essential to the wellbeing of your skin! The alternative is looking older than your age and dramatically increasing your chances of skin cancer.A high-antioxidant diet is great, but its not enough. You also need physical protection. What Sunscreen to UseI agree that regular sunscreen is a mixed blessing. It can be effective, but its also filled with chemicals that some people
believe to be quite harmful. And natural sunscreens arent always effective.Thats why my friends Kevin and Annmarie Gianni have spent the last few years developing the best natural sunscreen one that is so natural you could be tempted to eat it (not that I recommend it!)Its called Sun Love!
I connected with Annmarie Skin Care to see if they could come up with one of their famous sample kits that included Sun Love.
They delivered... big time.
This new sample kit is their best ever. It includes Sun Love, but also my three favorite products of theirs:
The Aloe Herb Cleanser, the Anti-Aging Serum, and the
Anti-Aging Facial Oil.
And you get all of these trial size products for for $19.99 with free shipping, plus a $10 coupon to use on your next purchase with them. You really have to check this out here.
To your health,
