Hi ,
The Business of Fashion recently published an article that touched on something close to my heart. Cult sustainable favorites like Mara Hoffman, Selva Negra, and Arq recently closed their doors, indicating what they're calling a "slow fashion recession." I've been feeling a shifting tide as well, and wanted to share some thoughts with you, our community.
Creating a thoughtful brand focused on reducing waste is incredibly challenging, but it's a challenge we embrace wholeheartedly. We scour the globe to find the highest quality leftover materials, developing local supply chains around them to further minimize our carbon footprint. We've been hard at work, for example, developing a brand new supply chain in Italy, where we've finally secured access to leftovers from top brands like Gucci, Hermes and Valentino (but more on that later ;-). We strive to source, manufacture and ship as responsibly as possible, reducing emissions at every step of the process.
Our process means that if you loved something that sold out, we can't just reorder it. We start fresh each time, crafting something unique and sustainable.
Every action we take is a vote for the future we envision. If you believe in a more sustainable fashion industry, don't wait to support the small, sustainable brands you love. Share our story, attend our events, or shop with us. Your support, in any form, empowers us to keep going.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Your belief in us is the strength that keeps us moving forward.
