Summer is by far my favorite season.
For those of you that know me, I am ALWAYS cold. I am often wrapped in a blanket with extra socks & sweaters on. I wear a toque 10 months of the year.
But those glorious, hot summer days are my favorite. I love the heat. I love the time outdoors. I love the sounds & smells of summer.

Finding Balance
Just like the weather, life is all about balance.
Over the past 7 years of running a farm business in addition to our regular jobs & lives, we have often found ourselves overcommitted, over our heads, and run ragged.
You know how it is. You say yes to a number of things way in advance when the calendar is "empty". Then life fills up, and you find yourself way too busy! You can't keep up. And you feel the "burnout" hardcore.
Over the past year, we have committed to finding more balance.
This means, making time for the things that we value the most.
Saying no to things that don't light us up.
To keeping the calendar less full.
