Hi there!
Are you eating enough protein every day?
This may be the most important question you can ask if your goals include; weight loss, getting stronger or improving performance.
While protein is typically thought about for its role in building lean muscle, it also helps balance hormones, supports weight loss, boosts metabolic rate and helps regulate your appetite. Just to name a few!
Protein is an essential macro nutrient meaning we NEED to consume it and most people aren't getting enough.
To be fair, it can be hard to know how much is enough. There is a lot of conflicting information online, but there is an easy way to know what's right for you!
Most research shows that for weight loss and overall health you should consume between 1.2 - 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight.
So, if you weigh 150 lbs (68 kilograms) you'll want to be eating between 82136 g of protein daily.
Because this can vary I always recommend hitting a baseline of 100g of protein per day. It may sound like a lot, but is easier than you think!
Here's a sample of what that would look like in your day:
Breakfast: 3 eggs
Snack: Smoothie w/ 1 scoop of LSF Plant Protein
Lunch: 4oz canned Tuna
Dinner: 4oz grilled chicken
Dessert: 1 scoop LSF plant protein
