if you want great food - Portugal

Portugal is the home of the Pastel de Nata: possibly one of the best sweet treats out there. Its a puff pastry filled with egg custard and trumps the supermarket doughnut you bought tenfold

Piri-piri is a Portuguese special and the chicken youll have over there will blow the socks off the stuff you have on your regular boys' night where you all wear the same Tech Fleece tracksuit every week

Away from chicken and custard, Portugal is top-notch for a bit of seafood. Id grab some sardines and cod as theyre their speciality and itll have you reconsidering the local chippy.

if you want great activites - Spain

Spain is a proper all-rounder, stacked full of things to do, especially for those with kids in tow. The hotels on these shores are fantastic for the little ones with their kids clubs, waterparks and beaches

If a bit of boogying is your vibe, theres a booming nightlife full of clubs, bars and parties, so make sure you pack those dancing shoes and your finest moves

Partying not your vibe? Head to one of the many, many plush golf courses or geek out over so much history and culture, like old towns and big cathedrals. As I said, all-rounder...

if you want MEGA hotels - Turkey

I was chatting to Nigel, our chief of Turkey, the other day about the outrageous amount of hotels in Turkey that could be their own fully-fledged town. He called them MEGA! in his booming Yorkshire voice, which was so accurate, I had to steal it.

On-site waterparks and shopping centres, restaurants for every night of your jolly and even pools on pools on pools. Youd never have to leave the resort for anything, but then again, why would you want to anyways?!

if you want RIDICULOUS beaches - Greece

There are beaches and then there are just some thatll take the biscuit when it comes to the sun, sand and sea. The rave at the moment is Greece and the fact its got 15,000km of coastline stacked with over 600 award-winning Blue Flag beaches. Thats a LOT of sand to find in the bottom of your suitcase when you get home

Happy hours always put a big smile on everyones chops. And if theyre a bit of you, then the Canary Islands are right up your street for a beach jolly. Bars upon bars, offering a dedicated hour for cheaper drinks (theyre already a great price in the first place, btw) with a side of beach
