Greetings, gamblers.
One of Major League Baseball's top teams will get a huge boost tonight when Yankees ace Gerrit Cole returns to the mound. Cole will make his season debut against the Orioles after missing time due to an elbow injury. Our Zack Cimini points out that Cole did surrender five earned runs in two starts against Baltimore, so it's possible that the dangerous Orioles lineup could get to him in his return outing. Consider this a sneak preview for the type of expert analysis and insight you will receive as a SportsLine subscriber.

PISTONS FIRE HEAD COACH MONTY WILLIAMS AFTER ONE YEAR
The Pistons made a huge change on Wednesday as the team fired head coach Monty Williams
after just one season at the helm. According to reports, the decision to part ways with Williams came from the ownership level. Williams has hired last June and signed a six-year, $78.5 million contract that reset the head coaching market in the NBA at that time. In his lone season with the Pistons, Williams led Detroit an underwhelming 14-68 season that included embarking on a 28-game losing streak. CBS Sports NBA writer Sam Quinn details the host of changes that the Pistons had already made this offseason prior to firing Williams.
Quinn: "The Pistons already made a change atop their basketball operations department when they brought in Trajan Langdon from the New Orleans Pelicans as their new president. Previous general manager Troy Weaver left the team soon after, and with Langdon in place, it seems as though the Pistons have decided to fully clean house and start over without the former NBA finalist Williams."
The Hot Ticket
Dodgers at Rockies, 8:40 p.m. | TV: MLB.TV
The Pick: Over 10.5 (-106)
Key trend: The over is 6-4 in the Dodgers' last 10 games.
SportsLine expert Bruce Marshall is 32-10-2 in his last 44 over/under picks.
Marshall:
"These two teams have been scoring runs this week at Coors Field with 34 between them in the first two games of the series. Considering the pitching matchup on Wednesday, we expect to see something like the last two nights when the floodgates opened. For the Dodgers, Bobby Miller is finally off of the injured list and pitches for the first time in over two months (April 10 marked his last appearance). However, Miller, struggled in April with a 5.40 ERA, and Rockies counterpart Ryan Feltner hasn't been all that good either, especially at home with his 6.89 ERA at Coors Field. This scoreline could easily resemble the first two in this midweek set."
