Over the years, your love and support for the incredible artwork I have showcased has been the driving force behind my brand's success.

As many of you know, the lifeblood of my business has been the stunning artwork created by a diverse group of talented artists.

When completely spent from so many challenges, I announced earlier this year that I was no longer going to manufacture fabric, but at that stage I was certain that I would continue to work with other artists on new projects. But recently, I decided I also needed to artists collaborations go too.

And so, after much reflection, I have decided to transition away from the business of representing and managing artists.

The only exception is my collaborative work with Verhees Textiles in Europe, as we can attest, there are so many opportunities for a wealth of artists in the Verhees x Nerida Hansen Collections which continue to be a huge success.

I have always known that the time and effort devoted to my collaborations was huge. But recently, I've realised just how many hours this actually involved. For every artist I feature, there are many, many hours of curation, preparation and marketing work. Not to mention the administration which has always been extremely difficult for me to manage. This has always equated to time away from my own creative work, and more importantly, time away from my family and a balanced life.

The other thing that has changed, is that in between the sheer workload, my own creative life has evolved, and there are new opportunities that I am eager to explore.

So it is with a mix of gratitude and bittersweet emotion that I have decided it is time to honour these collaborations and move toward a full transition.

I know how much you all love the various hand-styles and art of the designers I work with.

I know many will be sought after by other manufacturers, and perhaps they will even start selling fabrics themselves.

Over the next few weeks, I will be celebrating the amazing artists I have had the privilege to work with. This will be an opportunity to appreciate their contributions and enjoy their work one last time through our platform.

With the enormous rising costs of fabric manufacturing, it will also be the very last time you are likely to get such incredible artists work at discounted prices.

Farewell Threads - The Final Collections

Over the next 2-3 weeks, starting this week, all outstanding Katie Kortman orders from earlier this year are on track to be delivered.

So I decided to start with this wonderful creative being, who's gorgeous designs gave Nerida Hansen Fabrics so much energy.

And Along with Katie, is also another favourite, Miranda Sofroniou. Miranda's work will feature the old favourites such as Readers and her Watercolour Florals. But I have also introduced a couple of unseen designs such as her Tulips, which I am desperate to have in my own stash.
