Dear Aussie Designer.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the incredible work and creativity that you have brought to my fabric business.

Your designs have been nothing short of inspirational, and I am truly honoured to have had the opportunity to turn them into fabrics. Even though this is coming to an end, I know there will be many gracing beautiful fashion pieces with your work across Australia and the globe.

My appreciation for the international artists I have worked with is just as deep, but I wanted to pay a special tribute to the Aussies that I have worked with, because I am so proud to have found you all on home soil. Not only have we shown the world how talented you are, we have spread the joy everywhere, with hundreds of sewing enthusiasts and businesses worldwide enjoying our vibrant, colourful, wearable art every day.

Your artistic vision and unique style has enabled the making of stunning garments that tell a story of craftsmanship and passion. Each piece of clothing made from your designs carries a piece of your heart and soul, and it has been a privilege to share that with the world.

I wanted you to know just how much your contributions are appreciated and cherished.

Thank you for trusting me to bring your designs to life in fabric form. Your collaboration and support have been invaluable.

Even though this is a farewell, it is only goodbye to selling your fabrics. I know this ending brings a joyful new beginning, and I look forward to sharing many more years of creativity, innovation, and beautiful fashion together.

A heartfelt thanks also to Imby, Alusha, Sam and Jo for letting me produce your self-drafted patterns, and bring these delightful patterns to the sewing community worldwide.

As many customers know, Nerida Hansen is changing, and even though I am going to continue to provide Sewing Patterns and Limited Fabrics, the changes are for a very personal reason.

I will write more about this soon, but overall, it is time for me to change the narrative of my life which has been so swept up by unexpected brand growth and significant changes in an industry that I have found too challenging.

Licensing designs, whether it be fabric designs or Sewing Patterns is where I started my business. I had so much fun working with talented artists, curating collections and launches that I know you all loved and appreciated as much as I did.

The reality is, the workload of marketing, administration, licensing and website maintenance is a job of 4-5 people ongoing, so for one person it has become nothing short of exhausting.

This weeks Farewell Collections are perhaps some of the hardest, many of these wonderful designers have been with me forever!.
