Imperial Pure Gold Bi Luo Chun Black Tea of Feng Qing Autumn 2023
This is the purest gold bi luo chun black tea we have ever offered! Just the buds from autumn harvest tea leaves growing in Feng Qing were picked and processed without the slightest inconsistency into this elegant pure gold black tea. After the tea was processed into the finished tea, the tea was hand-sorted to remove any tea that was not perfectly shaped or not pure gold in color. The result is a very elegant looking tea that not only looks amazing but is very smooth to drink as well. The brewed tea is sweet, with notes of malt and roasted sweet potato. Being from Feng Qing, it also has an earthiness to it, but it's very subtle. Mostly the tea is sweet and malty, while being thick and full-bodied in the mouth. It's also worth noting that this tea is very infusable, surprisingly so for being a pure bud pick.
Light Roast Premium "AA" Tie Guan Yin Anxi Oolong Tea Autumn 2023
This lightly roasted tea is made from our Premium Grade Anxi Tie Guan Yin Oolong from Gan De village. The tea was roasted for about 6 hours at a low temperature of about 50C. This light roasting gives the Tie Guan Yin a softer, almost sweet taste to it. The light roasting also allows this tea (if kept sealed) to age wonderfully! There is a slight milk aroma (nai xiang) that is present when brewed and is completely natural (a result of processing).

2023 Yunnan Sourcing "Moonlight White" Certified Organic Tea Cake
We are proud to offer a Certified Organic White Tea cake from Yunnan. This tea was grown in the area of Simao and was harvested in April. This "Moonlight White" White Tea () is a Chang Ye Bai Hao varietal growing at and altitude 1260 meters (4150 feet) near Mulihe Village on Wan Zhang Mountain (just west of Pu'Er City). The processing is typical, using "room temperature" air-drying (). There is very little withering and when brewed the tea leaves have a green/yellow color. The tea brews a golden yellow tea soup that is thick, full-bodied with a creamy viscous mouth-feel. The tea is sweet like sugarcane with hints of wheatgrass. There is a bit more vegetal character to this tea as compared to the Silver Needles White, giving this tea a bit more depth. This tea can be brewed 6 to 8 times gong fu style.

Raw Pu-erh Snobs
2023 Yunnan Sourcing "Bang Dong Zi Cha" Purple Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
Bang Dong Village () is located in the county Mengku, Lincang prefecture. Bang Dong is a small village situated at an altitude of 1600 meters. Our production is made entirely from the tea picked by three families from their small ancestral tea gardens. The tea trees have 80-200 years of age and are growing naturally. This is entirely Bang Dong Zi Cha (Purple Tea). The tea is not from cloned purple plants but rather is collected from the purple tinged leaves and stem trees that grow alongside the non-purple tea trees in the same garden. This area of Bang Dong is very sunny and high altitude with southern facing slopes and as such has a high incidence of naturally occurring purple mutations (around 15-20% of the trees in this area). The purple tea of Bang Dong is not quite the same as Yi Wu and Jinggu area purple teas that are more purple when fresh and darker black in color after processing into mao cha. The Bang Dong area "zi cha" (lit. purple tea) has purple stems and some purple tinging on the leaves. The taste is distinctive from the non-purple mutated trees growing in the same area (often side by side), with less bitterness, more sweetness, and a fruity character. There is still bitterness like our 2019 Yunnan Sourcing "Na Han Village" Old Arbor Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake from the same area and harvest year, but overall it's less pronounced and sweeter.
2021 Yunnan Sourcing "Autumn Lao Huang Di" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
Lao Huang Di is an area west of Long Tang village that has many wild tea trees. The trees range from 50-200 years in age and are completely feral. Thick and golden tea soup with a nice balanced taste. Cha Qi is very pleasant, mouth feel is cooling with a long-lasting sweetness.
2021 Yunnan Sourcing "Shi Pian Di' Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
We thought of offering this as another "Secret Garden" pressing, but instead we decided to keep the location of "Shi Pian Di" nameless. It's better sometimes just to appreciate good tea, without all the biases that come with knowing this, that and the other thing about a tea. Just good raw pu-erh with plenty of "oomph" for aging!
2005 Liming 7540 Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
Very nicely Guangdong aged Liming pressing! 7540 is Liming's take on the classic 7542. The almost 20 years of dry aging in Guangdong has moderated the intense bitter/astringent character of this tea, replacing that with a well round sweet and fruity character with a hint of mushroom broth and crabapple. An excellent tea for the price, which could make for an excellent "everyday drinker" alternative to the astronomically expensive Dayi 7542.

2023 Yunnan Sourcing "Te Zhi" Certified Organic Ripe Pu-erh Tea
We are proud to offer a Certified Organic "Te Zhi" Ripe Pu-erh Tea from Yunnan. This tea was grown in the area of Simao and was harvested in April 2022 and wet piled in the summer of 2022. This is a "special recipe" blend of ripe pu-erh tea that has a very potent cha qi, with a thick tea soup, dark chocolate-like bitterness and fruity sweetness. The leaves used in this tea cake were harvested from organically cultivated tea pure assamica varietal tea bushes growing at an altitude 1300-1350 meters (4300-4450 feet) on summit of Ma Wei Mountain (just west of Pu'Er City). The tea is picked and processed into sun-dried mao cha, and then wet piled (wu dui) for 45 days, transforming it into ripe pu-erh tea ().
2021 Yunnan Sourcing "Lao Man'e Village" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This is purely Lao Man'e village ripe pu-erh tea harvested in spring 2020 and then wet piled in the late summer of 2020. Entirely Lao Man'e old plantation material Lao Man'e from village in the Bu Lang mountains. Lao Man'e is a village in the Bu Lang Mountain range, not far from Lao Ban Zhang and also quite near Jie Liang village. Lao Man'e tea is something in between the extreme bitterness of Jie Liang tea and the bitterness with fast and sweet huigan of Lao Ban Zhang tea. This is a very strong tasting ripe tea with a creamy thick taste and feel to it. It's very infusable going many rounds before losing its powerful taste and aroma. With age it will become more infusable, more complex and more aromatic. The cha qi is all enveloping, but not overpowering. The tea settles into the mouth and body in a very nice way.
Ripe and Raw
2005 Menghai Ripe Pu-erh Tea Mini Tuo Cha
These lovely mini tuo have been dry aged in Kunming since 2005. They were produced by a Menghai area tea factory and are composed of broken leaf ripe tea (). Don't be confused or put off by the leaf grade, as the quality of brewed tea is excellent, as good as many similarly aged cakes or bricks. This mini tuo can be infused 5 to 7 times (gong fu style) or more without losing much flavor. An incredibly convenient and tasty aged ripe tea that can be had at an unbeatable price! 2004 Wet Piling, pressed in 2005.
2013 Kunlu Mountain Raw Pu-erh Tea Brick
Kunlu Mountain area is south-east from Jinggu town in Simao (halfway to Ning'er). Kunlu Mountain has many old tea trees and alot of old plantation and tea growing at an altitude of 1500-1700 meters. This 2013 Spring harvested brick was pressed from old plantation bushes and small trees, pressed into these uniquely long and narrow bricks and then stored in Jinggu until July of 2020 (then Kunming). The Jinggu storage (warmer and more humid than Kunming) has given this tea a wonderfully sweet and fruity character while still preserving the Kunlu cool, mild chocolate bitter, and lightly astringent terroir.
2023 Yunnan Sourcing "Jiu Tai Po" Old Arbor Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
Spring harvest tea leaves from 200-300 year old tea trees growing in Jiu Tai Po village in Jinggu county of Simao. Jiu Tai Po or "9 Mesa Village" is a small village with about 1200 inhabitants. Many are involved in tea production. The surrounding hills are covered forest and tea growing, often among larger trees. The elevation is an ideal 1500 meters. Our Jiu Tai Po village tea cake is a sweet, thick and pungent tea. It's got a grain-like taste, bitterness and floral notes much like a good IPA! The cha qi is noticeable but not overpowering. Can be infused 10+ times without losing power.
Dark Tea
Ma Tou Yan "Rou Gui" Zheng Yan Wu Yi Rock Oolong Tea Spring 2023
Ma Tou Yan Rou Gui (lit. Horse Head Rock Cinnamon) is a unique varietal grown in the "Zheng Yan" Ma Tou Yan area of Wu Yi. Zheng Yan () refers to the innermost protected area of the Wu Yi Heritage site. It's a protected area separate from the scenic area and outsiders are not allowed inside. Ma Tou Yan area is 425 meters high. Rou Gui varietal has been grown here for over 100 years and many of the bushes are quite old. The mineral taste of the Zheng Yan area is present in this tea. The processing style is a medium-high level of roast done respectfully over several months time. The taste is silky and sweet... roast taste is there but not strong and will fade over a few months. Nice, thick body with a long lasting sweet cinnamon-like after-taste. Tea can be infused 7 to 10 times if brewed gong fu style. If you are a fan of high end Wu Yi or Rou Gui in general this tea is a must-try!

2019 Menghai DaYi "Yi Yuan Su" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This is the first release of the new DaYi 3rd generation style wet-piling. A totally unique process that is used only in their "Yi Yuan Su" line of teas. Super smooth and sweet ripe without compromising its thick and full-bodied tea liquor. Steeps many many times!
2021 Bai Sha Xi "Aged Gong Jian" of Hunan
This is a Bai Sha Xi production "Gong Jian" grade tea, which is similar to Tian Jian tea in every way except that Gong Jian "Tribute" grade is a tipper grade composed of grade 1 and grade 2 leaves. This was aged for 10 years by Bai Sha Xi in Anhua county of Hunan before being packaged into paper cartons and a lovely wooden box in 2021. The 10+ years of aging has given this tea an aged silk and cream aspect that comes with aging. There is smokiness present but with the aging it's subtle and welcoming. We'd describe this tea as fruity, smoky, and sweet, but with a lubricating and long-lasting mouth-feel. Bai Sha Xi Tea Factory in Anhua County of Hunan is the earliest producer of "Dark Tea" (hei cha) in Hunan and the first to produce the Golden Flower bricks in China. Bai Sha Xi was established in 1940 to produce Hei Cha bricks, then in 1953 they produced the first Fu Brick with Golden Flowers. They also produce Hei Cha, Hua Zhuan, Tian Jian, and Qian Liang teas.
2022 Gao Jia Shan "Year of the Tiger" Fu Brick Tea
This is a new pressing of premium Spring 2021 harvested Fu Tea from Gao Jia Shan to celebrate the year of the Tiger! This is a thick and juicy Fu tea! Very viscous, very sweet, fruity and malty! A good amount of golden flowers. Order at least 250 grams to make sure you get an inner chunk with golden flowers (the outer sections along the edges don't have the golden flowers), or better yet get the whole brick! Premium Fu brick!!! The tea itself is made from Spring 2021 harvested tea leaves from the Gao Jia Mountainous area of Anhua County in Hunan. Gao Jia Shan is both a place and the name of the tea factory brand that produced this lovely tea. Gao Jia Shan as a producer doesn't have as long of a history as Yi Yang and Bai Sha Xi tea factories but nonetheless produces very high quality Fu Brick tea processed in the traditional manner. Gao Jia Shan is a premium medium-small producer of An Hua Hei Cha (including Tian Jian, Fu Cha Zhuan, Hei Cha Zhuan, and Qian Liang Teas. The tea was fermented with a few days of wet piling and then pressed into bricks. After pressing, the golden flowers flourish in the inner section of the brick where the conditions are just right to support them. After a few days, the Golden Flowers have thrived and spread throughout the inner part of the bricks, and then the bricks are dried using a temperature of 37C which preserves and gradually halts the spread of the flowers without damaging them or the tea leaves.
ALLERGEN ALERT!!! ** Because there is a possibility the golden flowers were inoculated using wheat flour we cannot guarantee this tea is safe for those with Celiac Disease or those that have severe gluten induced allergies **
