Middle Mountain "Saturn Peach Aroma" Dan Cong Oolong Tea Spring 2024
Our Middle Mountain Saturn Peach Aroma Dan Cong Oolong is grown in Shi Tou Jiao Di Village at an altitude of 980 Meters. It comes from trees and bushes growing naturally aged 20-80 years of age. No pesticides or artificial fertilizers were used. This is a medium+ level of roast, that was laboriously roasted, rested and re-roasted many times to achieve a high level of aroma and body. Further aging will benefit this tea as the roast taste transforms this tea in a bouquet of fruit, honey and orchids! It is named "Saturn Peach" because it resembles the fragrance of peach. It also has this scent only because of its reputation in the sky, so it is named "Saturn Peach." The aroma is similar to that of peach, the fruity aroma is obvious, and the tea soup is fresh and smooth. Steeps many times, while retaining a lasting sweetness.
Charcoal Roasted Gan De Village Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea of Anxi Spring 2024
Tie Guan Yin from Gan De village in Anxi county was carefully picked and then roasted by hand over pine wood charcoal. The process is repeated many times until the tea has been heavily roasted and becomes almost black in color. The result is a highly aromatic tea that can be infused more than 10 times without losing much flavor. The tea soup is a bright red color and the taste is sweet and full with a kind of chocolaty after-finish. Limited supplies of this rare hand-processed tea! The roasted taste can be quite strong without some aging. We recommend storing for 3 to 6 months (or longer) before drinking. Those that love a strong roasted note need not at all!

Raw Pu-erh Snobs
2022 Yunnan Sourcing "You Le Shan" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
This is a Spring 2021 harvested tea (pressed in 2022)! You Le Mountain (aka Ji Nuo mountain ) is situated east of Jing Hong city about halfway between Jing Hong and Yi Wu. The tea was picked and processed entirely by hand by the growers themselves in a protected area () near the village of Sheng Niu (). The tea is tippy and healthy and is covered with downy silver fur. The raw material is almost entirely intact leaf and bud sets and so stone-compression was used to preserve the natural beauty of this tea. The brew itself is full and round. The very characteristic You Le taste is present, fragrant with some floral notes, sweet and full in the mouth but with a vegetal bitterness present. An excellent single-estate You Le tea!
2021 Yunnan Sourcing "Impression" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
This year's Impression cake is a blend of tea leaves from Spring and Autumn, originating from Mengku, Bang Dong, and Jing Gu tea gardens. The tea has been grown naturally and processed in the traditional method. We blended various teas together to achieve a powerful blend that has strong mouth feeling, cha qi and a balanced sweet, bitter and astringent profile. In 2012 I created the first impression blend to be an alternative to a Xiaguan or Da Yi 7542, but it has far surpassed those mass market teas in both quality and value! I also feel strongly that this tea being very strong in aroma, mouthfeel, bitter/astringent, infusability and Cha Qi, makes it a good choice for long-term aging!
2012 Xinghai "10th Anniversary" Bu Lang Mountain Raw Pu-erh Tea
This is a special production with a limited quantity to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the modern incarnation of the Xinghai Tea Factory! This pressing is entirely Bu Lang Mountain raw pu-erh tea harvested in 2011 and 2012, and pressed in December 2012. Aged in Guangzhou in a dry storage condition until October 2021 has given this premium Bu Lang tea a wonderfully complex aged character. Honey sweet and smooth, with only light astringency and bitterness. Slight smokiness in the early steeps! Classic Bu Lang production with nice aged taste.
2021 Yunnan Sourcing "Roots" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
This is a unique blend of Mengku area wild arbor teas from the first flush of spring 2021! This is a strong and flavorful tea with a typically Mengku taste (bitter, astringent, sweet, umami, and fruity). Wok kill-green, bamboo mat hand-rolling, and (of course) purely sun-dried! Potent cha qi and last many steeps, makes this a good choice for long-term ager!

Ripe Pu-erh
2024 Yunnan Sourcing "Ba Wang" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This is a premium blend that we've named "Ba Wang" , which means something like "Badass King." "Ba Wang" is a sort of neo-classical pu-erh tea cake title. After all, imitation can be the highest form of flattery! Although there are many cakes called "Ba Wang," I think you'll agree ours is among the best! Composed of tea from 6 different villages (Menghai, Simao, and Lincang), this cake is bitter, sweet and chocolatey with warm cha qi, thick body and a long-lasting mouthfeel. We think you'll enjoy this tea and consider it worthy of adding to your collection for aging.

2003 Yuan Shen Ripe Pu-erh Tea Brick
This is a wonderfully aged ripe pu-erh tea from the Wenshan region of Yunnan (south-eastern Yunnan). Aged from 2003 to 2021 in Wenshan and then Kunming until present-time. We like this brick because its aging has brought out a lovely herbaceous sweetness that is mild and pleasant. Its storage, although not dry, has given it a pure sweet character that is without earthy notes. The steeped tea has a very mild and supportive cha qi present.
2008 Lao Man'e Brand "Ban Zhang Peacock" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This is a well aged Guangdong storage ripe pu-erh tea pressed in 2008 by the Lao Man'e Brand. This is composed of a blend of gong ting, te ji, grade 1,3,5 ripe tea leaves wet piled from tea leaves harvested entirely from the Bu Lang mountains. The wet pile batch was done with a medium-light level of fermentation to preserve more of the raw "sheng" character of the tea leaves. The result is an aromatic tea with plenty of cherry cola sweetness and just a little bit of chocolate bitter character. Although this tea is called "Ban Zhang Wang" it's unlikely that there is any Ban Zhang material in the cake. So many larger Pu-erh tea factories based in Menghai love to refer to their teas as "Ban Zhang" to cash-in on the hype surrounding Ban Zhang teas. Nevertheless, this is a fantastic semi-aged ripe tea that is sure to be pleasing to ripe fans!
2022 Yunnan Sourcing "Ban Pen Village" Bu Lang Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This ripe cake is pressed from a wet pile batch done entirely from Ban Pen Village area (Bu Lang Mountains of Menghai County) tea leaves harvested in 2021 and wet piled in late 2021! Ban Pen Village ripe tea has a very potent cha qi, with a thick tea soup, dark chocolate like bitterness and fruity sweetness. Pure Ban Pen ripe tea is relatively rare. It has a unique bitter-sweet character with a fast hui gan and long lasting sweetness. Cha Qi is strong for a ripe tea!
Ripe and Raw
2024 Yunnan Sourcing "Blue Label" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
We are very happy to offer a new Blue Label cake pressed from 2015 and 2017 wet piled ripe pu-erh tea from Yong De county in Lincang. We blended two different Mang Fei mountain wet pile batches that were aged in Yong De town into this lovely tea. Tippy and sweet with no wet pile taste reminds us a bit of the 2012 Blue Label we pressed with the same design back in 2012! Sweet and fruity with a velvety chocolate mouth-feel. Very smooth semi-aged ripe!
2022 Yunnan Sourcing "Lao Wu Mountain" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
We've chosen Spring 2022 harvested tea from Lao Wu Mountain in Simao prefecture and pressed into this lovely aromatic tea cake suitable for long-term aging. Lao Wu Mountain is often considered part of the Wu Liang Mountains, although Lao Wu mountain lies at the far southern part of the mountain chain between Meng Da Zhen and Xiao Jing Gu Xiang . The altitude of Lao Wu Mountain is close to 2700 meters, but this particular tea was plucked from mature trees growing at an altitude of 1900 meters.

This is a blend of 2 different Yong De area ripe teas! One of them is a 2022 wet-piled tea from and the other is cha tou from 2017! Both are from Mang Fei mountain area! This is an ultra-smooth tea with hints of dried fruit and milk chocolate! Very little to no wet pile taste at the time of release (April 2024)!
2021 Yunnan Sourcing "Autumn Lao Huang Di" Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake
Lao Huang Di is an area west of Long Tang village that has many wild tea trees. The trees range from 50-200 years in age and are completely feral. Thick and golden tea soup with a nice balanced taste. Cha Qi is very pleasant, mouth feel is cooling with a long-lasting sweetness.
Dark Tea
2024 Gao Jia Shan "Year of the Dragon" Fu Brick Tea
This is a new pressing of premium Spring 2023 harvested Fu Tea from Gao Jia Shan to celebrate the Year of the Dragon! This is a thick and juicy Fu tea! Very viscous, very sweet, fruity and malty! A good amount of golden flowers. Order at least 250 grams to make sure you get an inner chunk with golden flowers (the outer sections along the edges don't have the golden flowers), or better yet get the whole brick! Premium Fu brick!!! The tea itself is made from Spring 2021 harvested tea leaves from the Gao Jia Mountainous area of Anhua County in Hunan. The tea was fermented with a few days of wet piling and then pressed into bricks. After pressing, the golden flowers flourish in the inner section of the brick where the conditions are just right to support them. After a few days, the Golden Flowers have thrived and spread throughout the inner part of the bricks, and then the bricks are dried using a temperature of 37C which preserves and gradually halts the spread of the flowers without damaging them or the tea leaves.
ALLERGEN ALERT!!! ** Because there is a possibility the golden flowers were inoculated using wheat flour we cannot guarantee this tea is safe for those with Celiac Disease or those that have severe gluten induced allergies **
2012 Cha Yu Lin "Korla Pear Aroma" Hua Zhuan Tea of Hunan
This is a unique production from Cha Yu Lin for 2012. It's a Hua Zhuan brick that is composed entirely of wild tea leaves harvested in Liu Bu Xi area of An Hua county in Hunan. The tea was compressed into large 2 kilogram bricks and then stored for 10+ years in An Hua Town. The result is a thick creamy hei cha with a pear-like fruitiness. The owner of Cha Yu Lin decided to name this tea "Korla Pear Aroma" because it reminds him of Korla pears (Xinjiang). Regardless of how much you feel it tastes like pear, you'll certainly be pleased with the complexity found in its broad flavor/aroma spectrum.
Wild Tree Purple Varietal Black Tea of Dehong
This is an expertly fermented black tea was crafted using a wild tree purple leaf varietal from Dehong prefecture. This wild tree varietal grows wild in the mountainous areas west of Mang Shi town in Dehong. Ye Sheng " varietal aka "Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze var. assamica (J. Masters) Kitam." (aka Dehongensis) is a primeval varietal that pre-dates Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica and is a naturally occurring non hybridized varietal. Its potency in cha qi arises from its unadulterated nature. It is naturally bug repellent, grows wild in the forests of Yunnan at an altitude of 1600-2200 meters. The aroma of tea is very strong and hints of eucalyptus and sugarcane. The mouth feel is incredibly complex and stimulating but never bitter or astringent. Ultra smooth tea that after a few months will develop even more complexity. Subtle but very noticeable cha qi and tranquil feelings. An incredibly rare tea made entirely from first flush spring material.
2024 Yunnan Sourcing "Pa Liang Wild" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This ripe cake is pressed from a wet pile batch done entirely from Pa Liang village wild tea! Wild tea trees and bushes ranging in age from 30-80 years were harvested during the first flush of spring 2023 and then wet piled in the autumn of 2023. Pa Liang village is a small village in the Bu Lang mountains of Menghai. Pa Liang has a balanced bitter-sweet profile that is at once bitter, thick and potent, but with a creamy character and a textured expansive mouth-feel. For those of you who purchase this tea during the year of 2024 expect that there will be some wet pile taste throughout 2024, but will fade gradually as the tea ages. Remember that pu-erh increases in palatability and complexity with age! In Chinese we refer to this as .
