Ristretto
Ristretto is a coffee term of Italian Origin and itmeans "restricted". The main difference between an espresso and a ristretto is the quantity of water used. A ristretto is just a shorter espresso with shorter extraction time, but the same amount of ground coffee.
Ristretto servings are 15ml - half of an espresso. Lungo means "long" in Italian, and it is a longer form of espresso. Instead of using less water like a ristretto, a lungo is prepared with more water. Lungo cups are typically around 90ml.
In terms of taste, a Lungo is typically a bit milder and great for those that consider the Espresso a bit too intense or for those that want a larger espresso without adding milk.
